Componente Fotográfica: Zito Colaço é fotógrafo profissional e criou um estilo. Nesta edição, as imagens jogam com a abstracção das formas por forma a enaltecer a ecologia de uma forma subliminar. A floresta de pinheiros-mansos, árvore soberba, concede à faixa costeira portuguesa um encanto ímpar e é responsável por um dos mais singulares ecossistemas do mundo. Nenhuma outra capital europeia se pode orgulhar de ter algo como a Paisagem Protegida da Arriba Fóssil da Costa de Caparica e Reserva Botânica da Mata Nacional dos Medos a 15 minutos de distância. Porque a palavra “Sustentabilidade” é nova. Está na moda. E podemos agir, antes que nos tornemos “os outros”. Mas de uma forma original. Despertar as gentes para uma beleza natural que não é facilmente detectável. Porque, na Natureza, há pormenores que fogem aos mais atentos.
Componente Literária: Nuno Miguel Dias é jornalista. Nos últimos cinco anos, escreveu sobre viagens. E sentiu que seria importante não conotar a obra com ambientalismo. Não que não seja esse, afinal, o fim pretendido. Mas a mensagem tem de ser subliminar. Porque, gostemos ou não, aqui e por esse mundo fora, os ambientalistas são ainda tidos, por uma grande parte, como “uns loucos” que não olham a meios. Os textos inclusos nesta obra são curtos e espaçados, por forma a não “roubar” espaço às imagens, a principal componente do livro. Longe de tecnicismos enfadonhos que, normalmente, radicam numa apresentação pobre, são contos que, ao mesmo tempo que enquadram o leitor no tempo e no espaço, criam afectos com o objecto: as LOVETREES.

A photo album of black and white pictures with a strong visual impact and high level of originality.
Photographic component: Zito Colaço is a professional photographer and has created a very unique style. In this edition, nature´s shapes are handled and portrayed in a sublime yet abstract way. The appealing Portuguese coastline has a special enchantment, a forest composed mainly by pine trees responsible for one of the most magnificent and outstanding ecosystems. No other European capital city has the privilege to have the protected landscape Paisagem Protegida da Arriba Fóssil da Costa de Caparica and botanical reserve Reserva Botânica da Mata Nacional dos Medos only 15 minutes away. “Sustainable development”, a very common and trendy expression in our days. It is possible step towards this objective in an original way by promoting awareness among people to nature´s beauty and the hidden details which are often difficult to identify, even by the most curious observers.
Written component: Nuno Miguel Dias, journalist, is the author of several articles on travelling over the past 5 years. Despite the fact that this is one of its main characteristics, he felt it would be important not only to highlight the environmental aspect of this work of art. The message must be subliminal, implicit and intuitive because, whether we like it and agree with it or not, unfortunately, environmentalists are underestimated for their recklessness when it comes to means and consequences. The texts included are brief and short, spaced in a way to allow the images to speak for themselves. Lacking of precise technicalities which often result in poor and distracting presentations, these tales will not only position the reader in time and space, but will also stimulate the growth of a natural emotion between the reader and the objects: the LOVETREES.
